Frequently asked questions

  • Typically small to medium repair work will take 3-5 days. Major reconstruction or overall work might take 2-4 weeks or more depending on the severity of the damage.

  • Yes! We offer free estimates based on pictures, or can come out to your location if you are close by. Pictures only can be difficult to judge how long a repair will take, so we might also ask for a video chat to better assess major damage.

  • Yes, we offer a detailed work order and a service agreement that protects both us and you during and after the repair process. No surprises - You will know exactly what you pay before any work begins to your equipment.

  • We typically charge just what it costs us to get the boat to the shop or back to you - time, tolls, and mileage. Our transport fee is a flat $1.15 per mile (trailer) or $0.75 per mile (car top). This covers all vehicle expenses, including fuel and insurance. We also bill $30/hour for the driver's time and any tolls. When sharing a ride with others, the mileage and tolls are split, but the driver's time is not.

  • Yes, we offer a limited lifetime warranty on all workmanship to your equipment. If our repairs fail during normal use, you can bring the boat back to us. We stand by our work and will redo the repair free of charge.

  • On top of our lifetime warranty, we aren't afraid to explain exactly how the repair work will be done for your particular case. You will receive updates along the way as well as pictures of in-progress work. We also weigh every shell before and after to ensure minimal weight was added, keeping your racing shell exactly that - race worthy!

  • We offer an all-in-one bundle for handling your coaching launches. This includes transport, washing, minor gel coat repairs, new bottom paint, engine winterization, and storage. When you are ready for the boat to return in the spring, we'll make sure everything is working before it leaves our facility. We can also do other services if needed - fiberglass repairs, part replacements, adding bilge pumps, designing and installing decals, and more.

  • Yes, if it's mid season and you need repairs as soon as possible, we can expedite the repair process using more advanced fast curing materials and working overtime. These costs would be covered by a small additional rush fee.

  • Yes! We love efficiency. If we can coordinate your pickup or delivery with another team in your area, we are happy to share the journey. In these cases, the mileage and tolls are split equally among all participating crews to keep costs as low as possible. However, because each boat requires the same dedicated attention, each crew is billed individually for the driver’s time (loading, unloading, and transit). This approach ensures every shell is handled with professional care.
